The NEA proudly welcomes Nicola Petersen, a distinguished Accounting Professional with more than 18 years of leadership experience, including service at CFO level, to its Executive Committee. Nicola’s expertise spans corporate governance, financial standardisation, robust policy implementation, and the management of complex financial operations. She brings a strong track record in statutory compliance, audit oversight, treasury and asset management, and in building high-performing finance teams.
Nicola joins the NEA with a clear focus on strengthening financial growth and long-term sustainability. Her approach blends strategic foresight with a commitment to operational excellence, positioning the NEA for a confident next chapter.
Her leadership philosophy draws from years of guiding diverse teams. Nicola emphasises clarity of purpose, thoughtful planning, authenticity and meaningful human connection. With her open-door approach, she aims to cultivate an environment where colleagues feel supported, respected and motivated to contribute to shared goals.
She is equally passionate about building strong teams and effective partnerships.
