The Namibian Employer's Association is pleased to share an important milestone in our ongoing commitment to member wellbeing: the successful establishment of our Umbrella Medical Aid Fund , secured through a partnership with a local medical aid fund.
This development represents more than a new service offering. It reflects a shift from advocacy to tangible protection, where care, stability and long-term security move from principle into practice. By creating this umbrella structure, the association has opened a pathway for members to access structured medical aid cover through a trusted local partner, strengthening both individual and collective wellbeing.
Through this partnership members are now able to contribute directly to the local medical aid fund under the association’s umbrella arrangement. This creates a more accessible and coordinated approach to healthcare coverage while reinforcing the value of collective support and shared responsibility.
Health security is one of the most important foundations of personal and professional stability. The establishment of the Umbrella Medical Aid Fund is a step toward reducing uncertainty, supporting families and ensuring that members have access to meaningful healthcare solutions when they are needed most. It also strengthens the association’s role as a platform that not only represents its members, but actively protects and supports them.
This milestone marks the beginning of a new chapter in how we support our members. It stands as a reminder that progress is built not only through policy and dialogue, but through systems that provide real protection and lasting value.
Members wishing to register under the Umbrella Medical Aid will be required to provide a valid membership certificate when contacting the NHP. In addition, the following reference number NHP400NEA must be quoted to ensure that all applications are correctly linked to the association’s umbrella arrangement.
